CAPI Scaleway 0.8.0 improves the reliability of your Apple-silicon fleet and removes the control-plane crash loop that could hit during fleet-wide re-rolls.
Features
- Stranded Scaleway Apple-silicon hosts are now detected and can be returned to the pool. A new periodic sweep finds orphaned Mac minis that no longer match a live Machine, exposes them on a metric, and can rename them back to the pool when enabled. The default is report-only, so you can monitor before enabling automatic cleanup.
- Legacy machine records that were missing a pool prefix now release their hosts back to the pool on deletion, closing the source of one common leak.
Bug fixes
- The manager no longer runs out of memory and crash-loops during fleet-wide re-rolls. Bootstrap binaries are now streamed from the resident copy instead of being copied into memory for each install, so the memory footprint stays within the original 512 Mi limit even when many machines re-roll at once.
